Keuka College Field Hockey Drops Opener

LA PLUME, Pa. — The Keuka College Field Hockey team lost their first game of the 2019 season 6-0 to FDU-Florham at Keystone College on Saturday.

Kassidy Valentine made seven saves and Kiera Fahey added three for Keuka College (0-1).

The Devils scored midway through the first quarter and added a second goal with 16 seconds left in the frame as they led 2-0 after one.

FDU-Florham continued the pressure in the second. They outshot Keuka 10-0 in the frame, but Kassidy Valentine turned away the four attempts on frame as the game went to halftime with the score 2-0.

FDU-Florham scored 3:21 into the third quarter and added another goal 27 seconds later to increase their lead. Later in the third, the Devils added a goal. Keuka College generated their first shot of the game in the final minutes, but the effort went wide as the third quarter ended with Keuka trailing 5-0.

Play continued in the fourth with FDU-Florham adding a goal as Keuka College would drop their opening game by the score of 6-0.
