After a slow start to the game on Sunday, Keuka College developed the first opportunity with a penalty corner in the 15th minute. The Wolves were unable to capitalize. Minutes later, Sage got behind the Keuka defense and broke in on goal. However, the Wolves were able to chase down the attacker before a shot was taken. Both teams were able to develop some pressure in the game, but the game would be scoreless after 35 minutes.

The second half started the same as the first with the teams battling for possession in the middle third of the field. Sage had multiple corners in a row, but was unable to manufacture a shot. The Wolves got a corner late, but was unable to fine the back of the goals as the game went to overtime.

Playing seven-on-seven in overtime, the game opened up with transition attacks, however both teams still struggled for shots. Sage registered their first shot of the game in the first overtime period. Both teams would hold each other without a shot in the second overtime and the game went to a shootout.

Keuka College shot first and was stopped. Valentine stopped Sage in their half of the shootout. Nicole Wilson opened the scoring in the shootout with a goal and Valentine made another stop. Next was Taylor Lessard who cut left and hit a sweep shot over the goalie for the 2-0 advantage in the shootout.
