NEAC Honors Kassidy Valentine

GANSEVOORT, NY. — The North Eastern Athletic Conference announced their weekly awards on Tuesday and Keuka College junior goalie Kassidy Valentine was named as the Defensive Player of the Week for field hockey.

Valentine began her week with five saves in the first half last Wednesday against Houghton College. She then helped give Keuka College their first victory of the season on Saturday. The junior keeper made five saves in regulation and overtime. She then stopped all five shootout attempts by Drew University as the Wolves defeated the Rangers 1-0.

On the season, Kassidy Valentine has 15 saves and leads the North Eastern Athletic Conference with a 2.87 goals against average.

Keuka College returns to the Jephson Community Athletic Complex this week for a pair of home game. The Wolves will open with Keystone College on Wednesday at 5pm. The Green and Gold will then face the University of Rochester on Friday at 4pm. The Yellowjackets will enter as the 11th ranked team in the country.
