ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Keuka College Field Hockey team lost on Sunday afternoon 6-1 to hosts Hartwick College.

The Wolves attacked the Hawks early as Keuka earned a penalty corner in the opening minute of play. They had a pair of corners in the first half but were not able to produce a shot from either of them. At the other end of the field, Hartwick had 11 total shots, six on goal. The Hawks scored a pair of goals in the half and led 2-0 at the break.
Hartwick added three more in the second half to extend their lead to 5-0, but the Wolves offense kicked in. They generated multiple shots in the half. With 10 minutes to go in the game, Nicole Wilson took the ball down the middle of the field and found Alysa Maddaleno. The sophomore hit it to the far corner of the goal, making it 5-1. The Hawks added a late goal on their way to the 6-1 victory.

Coming up for Keuka College: The Wolves will open their 2017 home schedule on Wednesday as they host Houghton College at the Jephson Community Athletics Center. The Highlanders defeated the Wolves 6-1 last season.
