KEUKA PARK, N.Y.— Keuka College will begin its third season of Field Hockey in 2017. Their season's schedule was announced on Thursday.
The Wolves open with a pair of road games at Brockport and Hartwick before returning to the Jephson Community Athletic Complex on Wednesday, September 6. Keuka will host Houghton and then follow it up with another home game that weekend against Drew.
The conference slate for Keuka College opens with newcomer Bryn Athyn College. The Wolves will travel to Pennsylvania to face the Lions. It is Bryn Athyn's first season sponsoring field hockey as the sport continues to grown within the North Eastern Athletic Conference.
October will bring the toughest week of the season for the Field Hockey team. The Wolves will open it with NEAC rival Wells College at home on Saturday, October 7. The Express won the NEAC Championship last season, but Keuka has beaten Wells during their regular season meeting in each of the last two seasons. During the week, the Wolves will face a pair of NCAA teams from last year. Keuka travels to King's College to face the MAC Freedom Champions on Tuesday. Two days later, the Wolves host Empire 8 Champions, St. John Fisher College. The stretch will close on Saturday, October 14, hosting Wilson College. The Phoenix faced Wells in the NEAC Championship last season. Overall, the four teams combined for 44 wins, three conference championships, and a pair of NCAA Tournament berths.
The game against Wilson College will be held on Green and Gold Celebration Weekend. Keuka College will welcome back alumni to campus and celebrate the college. It will also be Parents' Day for the Field Hockey team as Keuka College will honor the families of the 2017 Field Hockey team in a pregame ceremony.
