Field Hockey Falls on the Road

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Keuka College Field Hockey team lost on the road at Wilson College 2-0 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game.

The Wolves (0-12, 0-2 NEAC) return home on Monday with a 4pm game against Susquehanna University at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.

Keuka College had a pair of shots on goal by freshman Jade Earle, their only shots of the game. Elizabeth Sherman made 10 saves in goal.

The Phoenix struck early, scoring 3:20 into the game. A pass was centered from the left to the top where the shot beat Sherman in goal. Wilson controlled the ball for the majority of the half. They outshot Keuka 11-0 and had a 9-0 advantage in penalty corners. The score remained 1-0 at the half.

Once again, Wilson College scored early on in the half to gain a 2-0 lead. The Wolves were able to build an offensive attack. A pair of penalty corners by Keuka led to a shot on goal by Earle, but it was saved. Once again the Wolves got a pair of corners within a minute, but the subsequent shot was saved as well. Wilson College would maintain the advantage on their way to the 2-0 conference victory over Keuka College.
