Orsino Scores Third Goal in Field Hockey Loss

HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Sophomore Alyssa Orsino scored her third goal of the season in as many games on Wednesday, but the Wolves fell at Houghton College 6-1.

The Wolves (0-3) next face Drew University on Saturday morning in New Jersey.

The sophomore for Sauquoit Valley netted the lone goal for the Wolves. Her third tally sets a new school record for goals in a season in the program's brief history. Goalie Elizabeth Sherman made 13 saves for Keuka College.

The Highlanders controlled the play for most of the first half. They held a 2-0 lead 10 minutes into the contest. Houghton added a third goal in the half and held the Green and Gold without a shot to go into the halftime break with a 3-0 lead.

Keuka College came out of halftime and attacked immediately. They forced a penalty corner within the first two minutes of play in the half, their first of the game. It helped set up Keuka's goal by Orsino 1:52 into the second half. Houghton College responded with a goal minutes later and added two more on their way to the 6-1 victory.
