KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Field Hockey team lost to the College at Brockport on Thursday night 4-1 in their season opener at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
The Wolves (0-1) will return to action on Saturday afternoon, September 3, as they host the Hartwick College Hawks at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
After an even first five minutes, the Golden Eagles struck with the first goal. A high pass was deflected out of the air at the far post for the early 1-0 advantage. The Green and Gold would get on the board. With less than 10 minutes left in the half, Keuka worked the ball into the offensive end. Off of a rebound, Alyssa Orsino collected the loose ball and shot it into the top of the goal to level the game at 1-1. Brockport responded just over a minute later to take a 2-1 lead into the halftime break.
Brockport added a goal in the second half, scoring off of a rebound to take a 3-1 lead with just under 25 minutes left to play. The Wolves worked their offense and were able to get shots on goal, but the Golden Eagles added a late tally to secure the 4-1 victory.
