KEUKA PARK, N.Y. -- The Keuka College Field Hockey team lost to Wilson College on Saturday afternoon in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game by the score of 2-0.

The Phoenix (7-7, 2-0 NEAC) got on the board fast, scoring 2:51 into the game. Wilson got back on the board again 1:02 later for the early 2-0 lead over Keuka (0-12, 1-2 NEAC). Keuka goalie Elizabeth Sherman stopped Wilson's other five shots on goal in the half to keep the margin at 2-0 after the first 35 minutes.

Wilson continued to control the play in the second half. They were able to play with possession and got multiple attempts on goal. Sherman was up to the task, stopping all Phoenix shots. Keuka made a late rush against Wilson's goal. Alyssa Orsino and Alizabeth Knout each registered shots on goal and Keuka created a penalty corner opportunity. They were unable to find the back of the net, however, and Wilson continued onto the 2-0 victory.

Sherman finished with 11 saves in goal for Keuka.

The loss eliminates the Green and Gold from the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championship Game. Keuka College will conclude the 2015 season on Wednesday when they travel to Pittsford, N.Y. to face Nazareth College.
