Equestrian Senior Salute - Taylor Lessard

Equestrian Senior Salute - Taylor Lessard

Name: Taylor Lessard

Hometown/High School: Clay, NY / Cicero-North Syracuse

Major: Criminology/Criminal Justice

Plans for next year: To be in some sort of law enforcement job

Career goal: Become a New York State Trooper

Favorite memory with the team: The family aspect. No matter how much we argued, we always came together and a team at shows. That's something I'll never forget. We always laughed together.

Other activities at Keuka College: Field hockey team as well, and I was on the SAAC board.

What advice would give to freshmen on the team: You have to be dedicated and prioritize your team. If you stick with it, it'll all be worth it.

What would you tell someone looking at Keuka College: The small school aspect is amazing. You'll never have opportunities that Keuka gives at larger universities.

What does it mean to be a part of the #KCFamily: It means everything to me. I've made connections and built relationships that will last forever.

From Coach Bedient: Taylor Lessard has been a member of the team all four years, being one of the captains for the last two. While I am sad to see her go I know she will do great things in all of her future endeavors.

A message from Taylor: Just thank you to both teams I was able to be a part of. Not many people get to play or be a part of a college team. I'm blessed every day for that.

Our seniors had their Keuka College spring season cut short because of the global pandemic. Over the next several weeks we will take the opportunity to thank and honor each of these seniors who demonstrated such strength, dedication and support to their sport, to Keuka College Athletics and throughout their time at Keuka College. We are so proud to have them as part of our #KCFamily and we can't wait to see what they do next!  #gratitudeforKCSeniors2020
