Senior John Rizzo became just the second player in Keuka College history to be named All-New York Region by D3Baseball.com.
Rizzo was named Third Team Shortstop. He joined Jon Borchert as the only player in program history to be honored. Borchert was a third team selection in 2013 and named to the second team in 2014.
John Rizzo saved his best season for his final one at Keuka College. Rizzo set new career-highs in every offensive category in 2018. His performance was highlighted by a school-record in triples (5), walks (30), and on-base percentage (.538). He led the Wolves with 26 runs batted in and a .409 batting average on his way to being named First Team All-North Eastern Athletic Conference.
During the 2018 season, John Rizzo broke the school record for most games played in a career. He appeared in 129 games over his four years. Rizzo also broke the school record with 70 walks and 16 sacrifice bunts over his time at Keuka. His 125 career hits was sixth most in program history.
The Keuka College Baseball team finished the 2018 season with a 19-17 record, second-most wins in program history. The Wolves went 11-6 in North Eastern Athletic Conference games before falling in the NEAC Tournament.
