GREENWOOD, Ind.— For the second consecutive season, Keuka College Baseball's Dakota Skinner was named First Team Division III Academic All-District 3 by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
The honor is a part of CoSIDA's Academic All-America program. District 3 consists of all the Division III schools in New York State. Skinner will now continue onto the national ballot to be named Academic All-America.
This season, Skinner is leading the North Eastern Athletic Conference with a .474 batting average. That is the seventh highest batting average in the nation. Dakota Skinner has broken a Keuka College record to set that batting average. The junior has 54 hits on the season, the most in program history.
Dakota Skinner has been named a NEAC Scholar-Athlete his first two years at Keuka College. He was named Academic All-District last season as an infielder and moved to the outfield this year to receive the honor. He has posted a 3.95 GPA while at Keuka College. Skinner is a Management major with a concentration in Sports Management.
The Green and Gold will finish their North Eastern Athletic Conference schedule this weekend with road doubleheaders at Cazenovia College and Penn College. The Wolves will look to lock up a berth into the NEAC Tournament that begins next weekend.
