2019-20 Preview - Fall Team Capsules

Women's Soccer

Head Coach: Jessica Shufelt, 3rd season
2018-19 Record:
 13-4-1 Overall, 10-0-1 NEAC
2018-19 Postseason:
 NEAC Runner-Up
Key Returners/Players to Watch:
 Emily McGuigan, Julia Oglesby, Renee Vito, Abby Reynolds, Jessica Pegg
Key Losses:

Coach's Season Outlook:
 The Wolves look to continue the momentum from 2018 where Keuka won the NEAC Regular Season title and tied the program record for wins in a season. Leading the returners for Keuka is Emily McGuigan. The senior needs five goals this season to set a new career record at Keuka College. The overall core of the team has an added year of experience. Last year's talented freshman class that featured four all-conference players are all back and ready to lead the Wolves.

Women's Volleyball

Head Coach: Quinn Wright, 1st season

 11-19 Overall, 7-4 NEAC
2018-19 Postseason:
 Lost in NEAC Quarterfinals
Key Returners/Players to Watch:
 Abby Anderson, Kelsie Allen, Camryn Marcus, Lauren Kuipers
Key Losses:
 Alyssa Rex, Lauren Moelbert, Emily Cottrell
Coach's Season Outlook:
 Head Coach Quinn Wright takes over a young team without a senior this season, but the Wolves return a group with experience. Added to the team is an incoming class that features players from five different states.
First Match: vs. Hilbert College - 5pm, Friday, August 30 as a part of the Keuka College Invitational

 

Men's Soccer

 11-7-1 Overall, 8-3 NEAC
2018-19 Postseason:
 Lost in NEAC Quarterfinals 
Key Returners/Players to Watch: 
Samba Doukhansy; Abdikarim Maalo
Key Losses: 
Christian Cupello; Tom Reynolds; Noah Ogden
Coach's Season Outlook: 
The Wolves need to replace their entire back line, but Keuka has brought in a talented recruiting class with freshmen and transfers to fill gaps. The Wolves should be more athletic in 2019 with more speed and technical ability through the middle of the field. Keuka once again will test themselves with a difficult non-conference schedule featuring three teams from the Liberty League, two from the Empire 8, and one from the UAA in #4 ranked University of Rochester.

Women's Cross Country

Head Coach: Kyle Dacey, 2nd season
2018-19 Postseason: 3rd at NEAC Championships
Key Returners/Runners to Watch: Kaylie DeSorbo, Bayli Fugle, Aubrey O'Connor
Key Losses: None
Coach's Season Outlook: Keuka College will look to continue to grow in 2019. The Wolves return three runners who earned all-conference honors last season. Kaylie DeSorbo looks to continue to lead the team. The sophmore led the way in most of the races for Keuka College as a freshman last season.

Key Returners/Runners to Watch: Logan Holthouse
Key Losses: Mack Ottens, Colin Marchincin
Coach's Season Outlook: Keuka College will look to continue to grow under second-year coach Kyle Dacey. The Wolves return sophomore Logan Holthouse who led Keuka as a freshman with a 17th place finish at the conference championship last season

Field Hockey

Head Coach: Erika Profenno, 2nd season

 6-11 Overall, 3-0 NEAC
2018-19 Postseason:
 NEAC Champions, Advanced to NEAC/CSAC Crossover Tournament Semifinals
Key Returners/Players to Watch:
 Nicole Wilson, Shelby Lamb, Taylor Lessard, Emily Stallone, Kassidy Valentine
Key Losses:
 Alyssa Orsino
Coach's Season Outlook:
 Keuka College continues the development of the field hockey program, now in its fifth year. The Wolves are coming off of two straight conference titles and Head Coach Erika Profenno now has a full recruiting class to join the team, adding to the depth and talent. Keuka returns four of the top five scorers in program history to the team.
