GANSEVOORT, N.Y. — Anchored by four North Eastern Athletic Conference regular season championships, the Keuka College Department of Athletics was awarded the 2018-19 NEAC Athletic Directors' Cup on Thursday.
The Athletic Director's Cup is one of the four tenants of the NEAC Presidents' Cup. The AD's Cup is awarded to the department with the best athletic success on the field over the past year.
The Wolves topped the women's standings, led by the Field Hockey, Women's Soccer, and Women's Basketball teams all winning regular season championships. Keuka College earned 50.5 of a possible 61 points based on their position in the standings. Their 82.8% points earned was more than 10 percentage points ahead of the second-place finisher.
The Keuka College Baseball team won the 2019 NEAC Regular Season Title and the Wolves also had strong finishes in lacrosse and soccer as well in the men's standings. The Wolves earned 66.4% of their points to have the men's programs rank third in the conference.
Overall, Keuka College totaled 91 of a possible 122 points. The 74.59% earned led the conference with Morrisville State finished second with 68.4% and SUNY Poly took third with 67.73%.
It was the third time in program history that Keuka College has won the Athletic Directors' Cup. The Green and Gold previously went back-to-back, winning it in 2007-08 and 2008-09. This past year also marked the eighth time that the Wolves were to top women's program in the conference, but first since the 2014-15 season.
The overall winner of the 2018-19 North Eastern Athletic Conference Presidents' Cup will be announced on Friday morning.
